Mental Health and Me 
  • On May 6, a panel of UMD students will share their personal mental health stories. 
    • ​Where: The Stamp Student Union, Prince George's Room

  • "Panelists will use the tool of oral storytelling to cover various aspects of navigating college with mental health needs"

Stress Less Week at UMD
  • This week long event is held to help participants lose some stress and gain knowledge on mental health
  • Each day holds a new event 
  • This year the event will take place April 13-22
    • Sunday - Out of the Darkness Walk
    • Monday - Kelvin Briggs on Mental Health
    • Tuesday - Psi Chi Veterans Panel
    • Wednesday - Q Team Student Panel
    • Thursday - Stress Less Week Carnival
    • Friday - Leave it on the Line

Stress Less Week Carnival
  • Take part in this exciting carnival and loose some of that extra stress you're holding
    • Where: McKeldin Mall
    • When: April 21 from 10:00am-3:00pm
  • There will be free Rita's italian ice, an obstacle course, tie-dying, and much more. 
  • Join community members in these fun activities designed to get rid of your stress and teach positive facts about mental health

  • Come join the whole UMD community at Maryland Day where there are an endless amount of events you can attend

Bipolar Support Group
  • On Our Own, a Prince George's County organization, developed a support group for those diagnozed with bipolar
  • If you have bipolar and need support from others that will understand what you're going through than this is the right group for you! 
  • Interested in joining this group? Below provides information you will need to do just that:
    • When: Every Thursday night from 6-8pm
    • Where: Laurel Regional Hospital

  • Join NAMI and others at a family support group, which is run by well-trained family members
  • This support group provides a comfortable environment to teach family members the best practices on to managing the challenges that can arise with loved ones with serious mental illness
